Are you an experienced rock engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an intermediate to senior engineer specialized in Rock Engineering to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Your Opportunity
- Technical Development : Apply your growing expertise while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to high-quality deliverables. Assess geological conditions and carry out rock mass characterization. Conduct engineering analyses and design for a variety of rock engineering and geotechnical projects related to slope stability, tunneling and underground excavations, foundations, rockfall hazards, and mining.
- Field Work : Perform occasional field work which may include visual site inspections, geological mapping, UAV or terrestrial photogrammetry, monitoring of borehole drilling, televiewer data acquisition and interpretation, detailed rock core logging, construction monitoring, slope stability assessments, rockfall assessment, anchor testing, and installation of geotechnical instrumentation.
- Team Collaboration : Coordinate with project teams across Canada and abroad and contribute to a supportive, growth-focused environment. Mentor and train junior staff.
- Project Delivery : Take ownership of tasks within small to mid-sized projects—supporting planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication with mentorship from senior staff.

Ability to lead small projects independently.Proactive approach and strong problem‑solving skills.Effective communication and collaborative skills.Commitment to technical excellence and junior mentorship.Curiosity to learn and explore new opportunities.Relevant experience in rock engineering, including field investigation, mapping, rock mass characterization and geotechnical software.Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in good standing with EGBC, or eligible for registration if transferring from another province.Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to a vehicle and ability to live and work in Canada.Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (Civil, Geotechnical, Geological, Mining Engineering, or Engineering Geology).10–15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services.Ability to live and work in British Columbia or willingness to relocate.Pay Range
Locations in Lower Mainland - BC : $111,700.00 – $167,600.00 annuallyPay Transparency
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed‑upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated.
