Jardeg is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenter to work with our Gaetz Avenue / Waskasoo Creek Bridge Replacement Project team in Red Deer, AB .

The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday , working 8-10 hours per day. There may be a chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours / weekends and night shift) if the site requires.

This position is in Red Deer, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.

Responsibilities

• Build forms for concrete
• Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications
• Look for and fix deficiencies
• Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
• Study blueprints for work planning
• Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and / or takes appropriate measures
• Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
