Successful real estate finance and investment services firm with a great corporate culture! The team is fun-loving, tight-knit, friendly, and collaborative.

SWIM has placed 9 people at this firm over the years with very positive feedback. We are looking for a Mortgage Fulfillment Specialist who wants to do good work for good people, and to grow over the years with a stable, successful, and reputable Canadian organization.

Our client prefers candidates enrolled in the sub-mortgage broker course with relevant work experience from a bank, credit union, or mortgage brokerage firm.

If candidates are not licensed, they will be required to take the course and complete within their first year of employment.

Who- the Company :

A very stable and successful real estate finance company (mortgages, property management, real estate investments, etc.) that has been around for over 20 years.

Approximately 25 people work at the company. SWIM has placed several people at this firm with very positive feedback.

What- the Role :

On behalf of our client, SWIM is looking for a Mortgage Fulfillment Specialist who will be responsible for assisting with reviewing underwriting documentation, such as appraisals, notices of assessments, strata minutes, financial statements, and all other funding related conditions required, (mostly residential) mortgage loans within Greater Vancouver.

The Fulfillment Specialist will prepare and ensure mortgage fundings are processed in accordance with the approval and all conditions and requirements have been met prior to the advance of funds.

Coordinate with accounting and notify the referring brokers once a funding is complete and payment of brokerage fee has been made.

Other responsibilities including analyzing appraisal reports, researching market information, pulling credit reports, and preparing loan summaries.

The Fulfillment Specialist will work closely with brokers to ensure full due diligence.

The Mortgage Fulfillment Specialist will use Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as an automated mortgage system.

The Fulfillment Specialist will get to interact with colleagues in all departments of the 25-person company. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a thorough job description.

Who- the Candidate :

We are looking for someone who wants to do good work for good people, and who wants to develop gradually over the years with a very stable, successful, and reputable Canadian organization.

Long-term pursuit of the sub-mortgage broker license is required. The company will financially support future relevant professional development and licensing fees.

Ideally candidates will have 2 to 4 years relevant mortgage fulfillment work experience working in a financial institution, a brokerage, or a mortgage investment corporation (MIC).

We are also open to candidates who have worked in relevant administrative roles with real estate firms or law firms with real estate clients- roles involving processing documents and an eye for detail.

Desired strengths and skills include meticulous detail-orientation, organization, reliability, passion for high quality and accurate work, curiosity, and willingness to learn, etc.

We are looking for people who are excellent communicators (verbal & written) and who love working closely with a tight-knit team.

We are seeking a Fulfillment Specialist who is adaptable and friendly. Strong computer skills (particularly using MS Office Suite) are required.

Over the long term, the person in this role can develop into more and more senior capacities within the business.

Why :

This is a diverse Mortgage Fulfillment role that will enable you to work for an interesting, stable, and reputable organization.

Great opportunity to really feel part of a tight-knit and friendly team. Opportunity for long-term growth and to take on more and more complex responsibilities with time.

Where :

Located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, BC in a beautiful corporate office. Extremely transit-accessible. A BIG perk is that the company buys lunch for all employees every day- yum yum!

How Much :

Base salary is commensurate with experience, likely in the range of $54,000 to $70,000, perhaps with some wiggle room beyond if someone has highly relevant work experience, qualifications, and skills.

Plus, bonus, health benefits, paid vacation, relevant professional development support, and the aforementioned daily lunch progam.

Please discuss your total compensation expectations with SWIM!
