Job description

Midland Transport is currently seekinga Reefer Mechanic at the Brampton Maintenance Facility. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.

Shifts

Sunday to Wednesday – 3pm – 1 : 30am

Saturday to Monday – 6am – 6 : 30pm

Qualifications

Education Required : Trade Certification / Red Seal / 310J license

Years of Experience Required : 2+ Years

Ozone Depletion Cardis required

Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

Proficient in diagnosing and repairing reefer units

Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on reefer units

Conduct regular safety inspections and preventative maintenance on reefer

Repair or replace faulty parts and components

Performing mechanical work on vehicles or components

Ensuring quality of work

Maintaining orderly and clean working habits

Reporting nonconforming situations

Assist with maintenance of trucks and trailers if needed

Other projects and duties as assigned by the shop manager
