Evening & Weekend Concierge, The Alexander - Halifax, NS

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. We are looking for a customer focused, energetic and customer-oriented Concierge to join our team at The Alexander on a full-time basis. This position will consist of evening coverage Wednesday to Friday and daytime coverage on Saturday and Sunday.

What you will do:

•Evening shift Wednesday to Friday (4pm- 12am), daytime shift Saturday and Sunday (11am-7pm)

•Greet building tenants and guests in a friendly, professional manner;

•Attend to tenant and guest inquiries (ie: calling taxis, opening front door, assisting with packages, etc.);

•Taking tenant maintenance requests and inputting work orders;

•Responsible for coordinating guest suites and common room bookings;

•Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism;

•Ensure entrance parking area and driveway are maintained (no unauthorized parking);

•Maintain a neat and tidy working area, including main lobby and exterior entrances (entrance glass cleaning, litter pick up around immediate lobby areas);

•Ensure the lobby/entrance/common rooms are kept clean and tidy;

•Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

•2-3 years of well-developed customer service skills and problem-solving skills;

•Excellent oral communication skills, and strong listening skills to understand tenant needs;

•Able to work as part of a team;

•Must be flexible and able to work on a split shift schedule. Hours of work may be subject to change.
