Manager, Engineering III

Overview

Remitly, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. We’re hiring a Manager, Engineering III in Identity and Trust. This role leads a full-stack engineering team and collaborates with Product, Design, Compliance, and Analytics to reduce customer friction and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of people management within the Identity and Trust organization, including hiring, team structure, performance management, and career development; conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and create growth opportunities for direct reports.
• Collaborate on end-to-end project plans, guide teams through execution, and ensure leadership and key stakeholders remain aligned on progress and milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to set and adapt long-term strategies in response to evolving priorities and opportunities.
• Champion engineering and operational best practices by defining metrics and processes for continuous assessment and improvement; lead cross-functional process improvements to drive efficiency and quality.
• Clearly communicate the technology, requirements, objectives, and milestones across programs and teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Define clear expectations and lead the creation of a collaborative, high-accountability environment in partnership with engineering and cross-functional teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation details : The starting base salary range for this position is $148,000-$185,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
