Buyer (Transportation Industry)

Description :

Our client is a project-based company that specializes within the rail industry. At this time there is a backlog of orders that is causing delays in production and it is a crucial moment for support and YOU can be selected as a buyer to support these backlogs.

• This person will not be tied to a commodity but will need to prioritize back log products, products could be : Metal parts, Assembly, Electric Cables, Cabinets, Raw Material, etc...
• The suppliers they are working with are mostly in Canada and USA.
• Their main goal will be to follow up with supplier on parts and investigate where the part is.
• If there are any parts missing or rejected parts due to quality they will also need to investigate and see which supplier and item can come in ASAP for production.
• You will need to make sure that you stay on top of parts and track order and provide production daily updates on items.
• You will be working with an In house ERP / software, based on Microsoft called AXIS data basis
• You will also be working a lot in Excel, doing Vlookup / pivot tables to manager data.

Requirements :

• 2+ years of experience of Buying, specifically in Automotive / Train / Manufacturing environment
• Bilingual
• Excel experience Vlookup / Pivot tables

Asset :

• ERP experience
• Transportation Industry
