As a Field Service Technician, you will be based out of the Fraser Valley facility and spend 75% of your time travelling the globe working on a wide range of marine vessels, from navy ships to some of the largest, luxury yachts in the world. This role is for someone who thrives on problem solving and finding solutions.
You will :
- Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining marine products on a wide range of vessels including windows, doors, hatches, and cranes
- Providing exceptional customer service and technical support to customers to resolve any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Coordinating with Sales Support to ensure a timely response to customer in-field service needs
- Assisting in costing, scheduling, and preparing quotes for in-field service requests
- Providing technical support to other Field Service Technicians
- Travelling to international and local locations to provide support to customers
You have :
3-5 years’ experience in equipment manufacturing, installation and / or repairFormal training or certifications related to Glazing, Electrical including PLC programming and diagnostics and or HydraulicsGeneral Mechanical aptitude desirableExperience in the Automotive or Marine Glass Industry is an asset - installation, maintenanceDemonstrated knowledge and experience in either :Direct bond glazing, glass / window, or door installation or
Electrical and hydraulic systems - installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairsCertification or training in PLC Programming or Electronics is an assetHigh level of professionalism including appearance, communication, and attitude to be a customer facing representative of the companyStrong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional problem-solving skills and able to work independently and under pressureStrong organization skills with the proven ability to complete documentation, reports, and updates in required systemsPrevious experience travelling and able and willing to travel internationally up to 75% of the timeStrong mechanical aptitude including understanding how moving pieces work together and how to fix a mechanical problemExcellent customer service skillsStrong understanding of Service & Warranty processExperience working with an ERP systemStrong basic skills in math and geometry, measuring devices & metrologyLight fabrication experience with Steel and / or Aluminum is an assetDetailed oriented and the ability to prioritize effectivelyPositive outgoing attitude; with a professional demeanorYour integrity is admired by those around you,You radiate positive energy and have an outgoing personality,You are driven and enjoy some autonomy in a position,You are interested in this role but also aspire to grow.
