Position Summary
The Material Handler performs duties required to receive, store, and maintain records on component parts. Responsible for counting, checking, and storage of all component parts.
Measures of success
Offload and shelve weekly TCR truck in 2 daysConstant consolidation and cleanup of warehouse to maximize storage capacityResponsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Must have understanding and ability to support previous level dutiesEnsures accuracy, completeness, condition of materials receivedUpdates ERP for work performed; maintain records as directedMaintains electric truck and fork truck; notifies supervisor if repairs requiredLoad and unloads trucksUnpacks received shipments into designated bin locationsMaintain, organize and consolidate warehouse continuouslyAssists in cycle counts; reports inventory discrepanciesMaintains orderly work area; ensures equipment is in good operating conditionQualifications
Required :
2 years of experience in a warehouse environmentForklift experience requiredPhysically able to manipulate hand tools and power tools and push, pull, lift and / or move materials of up to 60 lbs.Able to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacksCompetent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systemsAttention to detail is essential for successWell organizedCapable of following written and / or verbal instructionWork Environment
This position works primarily in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position reports on-site for all scheduled shifts.
Full Compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Salary range : $19.20 CAD - $24.96 CAD
