LPS Program Manager - Roctel Mfg.
The LPS Program Manager position will be responsible for analyzing, developing and implementing changes in product design, manufacturing methods and process improvements.
Primarily accountable for reviewing the organization's internal manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved.
In addition, implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization using various Lean methodologies and standards (.
5S, VSM, SMED, TPM, Kaizen, .

Performance Expectations
- Focuses on the Direct Phase of Lean Manufacturing (Value Stream Mapping, Standardized Work, and 5S Workplace Organization) as outlined in Management report.
- Plan, organize and control all aspects of the Direct Phase of the LPS.
- Able to produce and implement the indirect phase of the LPS.
- Work in collaboration with Maintenance and Production to implement the TPM system.
- Participate and facilitate all CATS and Scrap Attacks in facility, including follow-up of previous commitments.
- Perform monthly self-audits of 3S and 5S.
- Report on a monthly basis, to the Corporate Lean Manufacturing Manager.
- Able to write technical proposals.
- Evaluate the ability of current building systems to address increased demands from plant operations.
- Complete production and completion schedules to track process and progress of projects.
- Establish, review and approve the annual budgets for departments.
- Analyze the cost categories of budgets to identify waste reduction measures.
- Direct and coordinate project teams which include other department personnel when designing, developing and building products.
Credentials
- Post-Secondary education in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum five years experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining.
- Working knowledge of QS 9000, ISO 14001.
