Job description

eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

About the Role :

Reporting to the Director – Project Management Office, the Senior Project Manager is accountable to provide leadership, direction, and project management expertise to enable the effective implementation of multiple projects across eHealth’s organizations. This role will provide high level support for large scale projects and provide support from initiation through to final implementation. This includes leading multifunctional and cross divisional project teams on people, process, and technology projects of medium to high risk and complexity.

Specific responsibilities include :

  • Accountable for all aspects of the project (or phase) over the entire project life.
  • Accountable for procurement, managing vendor relations, partner relations and managing end user expectations.
  • Responsible for communicating status to project sponsors.
  • Responsible for financial reporting.
  • Organizing and directing work including prioritizing assignments, providing regular performance feedback, and taking necessary corrective action as may be required.
  • Managing business analyst direct reports, providing direction, coaching, and career development.
  • Accountable for promoting a productive and positive environment for project staff that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative, and models corporate values.

Experience & Qualifications :

  • 5 years’ experience in project management leadership or equivalent with demonstrated success in delivering large and complex projects in an IT setting with constraints of budget, timelines, and resources.
  • 3 years’ experience with project procurement and vendor management.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Post-secondary education at the University or Technical Institute level in one of the following : Information Technology / Business Administration / Health Sciences.
