CAD20 hourlyJob descriptionProvide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.) Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so Following each clients plan of care Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary SFC specializes in Attendant Care services for Motor Vehicle Accident clients. Assist with ADLs, including : personal hygiene; incontinence care; dressing and grooming; light massage and passive ROM; ambulation, positioning and transferring; feeding by mouth; mouth care Observing and reporting changes in condition Assist with IADLs, including : laundry and linen change; light housekeeping; meals and nutrition; transportation planning Companionship, Social and Emotional Support Accompaniment on Errands and to Appointments (Via Taxi) Working in a cross professional healthcare team Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations Reliable transportation Looking for Applicants to cover the following areas : Ottawa East, Ottawa West, Kanata, manotick, stittsville, North Gower! Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner Available to work different shifts, including nights and / or weekends Willingness to enforce health and safety standards Supportive and compassionate PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards. Take pride in providing high quality care Clear enhanced Vulnerable sector check is required upon hire Excellent communication skills CPR certificate
