We are looking for a qualified, temporary part-time Dietary Aide to join our team at Crest View Village in Creston, BC . If you are a strong team player, then we would like to hear from you!

We are looking for someone who will :

• Assist in food service assembling including washing, peeling and storing vegetables and fruit, preparing sandwiches and salads;
• Prepare beverages and food items such as tea, coffee and toast;
• Load and deliver food and then portion out and serve food and beverages in the dining room and / or resident neighborhoods;
• Stock resident kitchens with such items as snacks, beverages and staple goods;
• Prepare tables in dining areas before mealtimes, and clear and clean tables after mealtime;
• Operate dishwashing machine, and stack clean dishes and utensils;
• Operate dispensing machines and other related equipment and report unsafe or faulty equipment to the Kitchen Manager;
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping and damp mopping floors; sanitizing counter tops, sinks, machines and equipment; spot washing walls and splash areas; and removing trash;
• Have effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High school education.
• FoodSafe certificate preferred.
• Be capable of lifting up to 10kgs.
• Successfully clear a Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check.
• Have the physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
• Provide proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
