Manga Hotel Group is a privately held Canadian company involved in the acquisition, development and management of real estate with a focus on high quality hotels affiliated with prestigious brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and InterContinental Hotel Group. Currently, Manga Hotels owns and operates 31 hotels with over 5800 rooms across Canada and in the United States, 18 food and beverage outlets and 5 residential properties with a number of new properties and developments in the pipeline.
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing and facilitating the procurement process at the Head Office, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and efficient acquisition of materials and supplies.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services in line with hotel requirements.
Skillfully negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Maintain and update supplier records and databases.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to meet demand.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimizing procurement processes.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Provide general administrative support.
Maintain office supplies and manage the office environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years prior experience in procurement, ideally within the hotel industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems is a plus.
