Job descriptionA general knowledge and skills required to safely operate straightforward plant equipment, and / or machinery. A valid driver’s license, with a clean record. DZ license is an asset. Ability to lift 55lbs. Ability to operate skid steer, loader, and / or bob cat. Ability to read maps, bills of ladings, follow specific delivery directions and instructions, follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures to ensure proper techniques are performed; write and make accurate entries in daily driving log, comprehend simple instructions. Conversational English skills. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide). Desire to grow with the company. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn the agricultural business and grow in their career. Responsibilities
- Operate straightforward equipment and / or machinery and complete general labour duties.
- Load and unload containers, materials and products on trucks, or trailers by hand or by forklift truck.
- Transfer goods, organize the products received and prepare goods for shipment.
- Blend fertilizer.
- You may receive grain, and grade by sampling, testing, and weighing the product to ensure quality aligns with GROWMARK’s standards.
- Remove snow in winter months.
