Location : ONSITE - Cambridge, ON N3H-5K2, Canada
Pay Rate : $34.00 per hour (Canadian Citizens ONLY)
A global company is seeking to hire a passionate and highly motivated Construction Coordinator. They will primarily be responsible to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies and overall facilitation with related plant production groups. They will report to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions, and provide necessary support to ensure smooth daily operations. In addition, this position will mentor junior engineers and assist in their OJD.
Responsibilities include :
Manages area project planning, implementation and follow-up to achieve KPIs and critical milestones
Creates project schedules
Supports new model introduction (equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.)
Creates scope of work and define roles / responsibilities within the project
Reviews and / or design mechanical, structural,
Oversees several planned construction and commissioning work during non-production time and ensure equipment ready for production start
Reviews site safety management plans for construction jobs
Leads process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments and process trials based on project milestones and events.
Executes onsite equipment modifications during non-production time (weekends, holidays, etc.)
Participates in team kaizen and organizational improvement activities
Interacts with inside and outside groups to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts.
Reports to a Project Manager in the team.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :
1+ years of professional of experience as a Construction Coordinator, with the desire to grow in the a Construction Manager.
Proficient in MS Office applications and AutoCAD (Electrical and Mechanical)
Experience reviewing mechanical, structural drawings
Experience leading problem solving
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Inventor
Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown to support equipment modifications and installation projects
Education : Bachelor of Technology, Automotive & Vehicle Engineering Technology or equivalent
Other Requirements :
Travel- 5% : Travel both domestically and internationally, meetings, discussing, review, etc. (Has a valid passport or can obtain one in a short amount of time)
Overtime - 25% : Will work after working hours on weekdays and at least 1-2 weekends in a month.
DESIRED SKILLS :
Experience with AutoCAD
Understands Mechatronics
Understands PLCs, Sensors and Actuators along with Ladder Logic Programming
