AECOM Buildings Places Architectural team are seeking a Landscape Architectural Designer to join us. This position will be based out of Kitchener ON.
AECOM Buildings Places Canada (BP Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture all the buildings engineering disciplines landscape architecture urban planning urban design economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include although not limited to : Transit and Municipal Commercial and Institutional projects Justice Education and Government.
This is a full time role expected to begin as soon as possible.
Job Responsibilities :
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good level of technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following job / project tasks :
- Performing basic architectural / engineering calculations.
- Preparing specifications reports and related data tables.
- Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Preparing and reviewing drawings as required.
- Under direct supervision may complete design assignments of limited to moderate complexity.
- Limited familiarity with codes permits and software applications related to the discipline.
- Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and disciplineassociated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices standards and procedures.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents.
- Introduced to the process of performing material takeoffs for the discipline.
