  • Mentor and train junior engineers to help them develop their skills and expertise in structural engineering for underground structures.
  • Act as a trusted technical counterpart for clients, remain actively involved in project execution, and resolve project-related technical and commercial issues.
  • Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities, supporting proposals, client engagement, and the conversion of opportunities into secured projects.
  • Develop design and analysis of complex underground structures, such as tunnels, caverns, and underground transit systems.
  • Develop and review construction plans, drawings, and specifications for underground structures, and supervise the work of junior and mid-level engineers and technicians.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure that they are in compliance with the design plans and specifications and resolve any construction-related issues which might arise during the project.

Qualifications

  • Canadian citizenship required.
  • Familiarity with CSA codes and Canadian engineering standards.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mining, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in technical roles on infrastructure/heavy civil engineering in Canada. Underground Construction works experience preferred.
  • Ability in FEM modeling and structural verifications of temporary support of excavation, reinforced concrete, and steelwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strong technical judgment with hands-on project involvement, client-facing leadership, and business development responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of her/his work time to support projects across Canada.
