Service Representative (Travel Required)

Centrix Control Solutions is expanding its team and has an immediate opening for a Service Representative responsible for promoting and supporting our world‑class product lines through on‑site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with time also spent in our shop building pump stands and other builds as needed. During your downtime you’ll fill the role of an Inside Sales Representative, working with our Sales team helping grow our sales and service by providing our customers with technical information, quotes, and ensuring efficient delivery of our product. Based in our Port Coquitlam office, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our customer base in BC, Yukon, and NWT. Our core markets include water & wastewater, mining, pulp & paper, oil & gas, and food & beverage.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- On‑site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our product offerings
- Time spent in our shop building pump stands and other builds as needed
- General shop maintenance and upkeep including storage and equipment clean‑up as needed
- When on service calls, actively promote sales and pursue new business opportunities
- Provide technical support on products and promote various Centrix service offerings
- Analyze customer‑provided process information to assess product suitability and selection
- Prepare quotations and bids (including sizing & selection of equipment)
- Build strong relationships with our customers, while actively following up on completed service and quoting tasks
- Technologist / Technician Instrumentation Diploma
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience within municipal, mining, and / or pulp & paper industries
- Previous service / sales experience is an asset
- Clean drivers abstract with an affinity for safety
- Self‑motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn and promote service and sales
- Strong problem‑solving ability with minimal supervisionMaintain a high level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of your work
- Ability to work with difficult customers and resolve problems and issues
- Ability to communicate and interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner
- Ability to travel frequently out of town and overnight
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite
