Your opportunity :
The Acceleration Consortium (AC) is leading a transformative shift in scientific discovery that is accelerating technology development and commercialization. The Consortium, a coalition of entrepreneurs, technology companies and elite researchers from top universities, is leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, robotics, materials sciences, and high-throughput quantum chemistry to create Self-Driving Laboratories. These autonomous laboratories will rapidly design high-performance materials and molecules that will address some of society's largest threats, such as climate change. Applications are broad and include renewable energy, sustainable materials, consumer electronics, and drug discovery.
The Associate Director, Training, will lead the planning, development and execution of training programs for students, faculty, and external partners. The AC’s training portfolio will address high-profile areas such as applied machine learning, robotics, laboratory automation, and materials discovery and will be delivered across numerous platforms, including micro-credential programs, academic courses, hands-on workshops, lectures, and public outreach. The goal of the AC training program is to demonstrate the utility of self-driving labs and provide participants with the skills required to leverage AI and automation to build or use self-driving labs for autonomous discovery. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work with leading faculty from around the globe who are using AI, automation and materials discovery to solve some of the world’s largest challenges.
The Associate Director, Training reports directly to the Executive Director of the Acceleration Consortium.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance and promoting the use of training resources through industry collaborations.
- Prepare and deliver training content as it relates to self-driving laboratories.
- Planning components of educational programs and / or course design.
- Developing content for instructional workshops and hackathons.
- Develop and deliver a faculty and student education engagement plan.
- Planning and estimating financial resources required for educational programs.
- Manage the delivery of the AC Micro-credentials program and other training content.
- High-school student outreach.
- Promoting the Acceleration Consortium’s training products.
