    About the role:

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supervisor, Autonomous Control reporting to the Manager of Mine Technical services. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the Autonomous Command team for Côté Gold. The Supervision tasks are focused on leading, supporting, coaching, training and creating a space for team members to be successful and deliver safe and sustainable production from the mine.

    This role will be based on our Cote Gold Mine Site (Gogama, ON), on a 7 on 7 off schedule.

    Responsibilities:

  • Execute production targets in alignment with mine designs and integrated mine-to-mill plans through close collaboration with business partners.
  • Monitor operational compliance and benchmarks, investigating root causes for shortfalls while identifying growth opportunities.
  • Maximize fleet productivity and equipment efficiency through precise, real-time management and data-driven oversight.
  • Optimize autonomous operations by strictly managing safety procedures and leveraging systems to support the team
  • Drive operational excellence by utilizing technology and strong leadership to minimize delays and troubleshoot inefficiencies.
  • Mitigate upcoming risks and prioritize safe production, ensuring all decisions align with core company values.
  • Lead and mentor control room personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-level technical expertise.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure clear communication, accurate reporting, and the delivery of reliable shift results

Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Post Secondary Education in a Mining related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in an open pit mining environment with autonomous operations

Relevant Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience in an open pit mining environment with autonomous operations.
  • Previous exposure to Autonomous Controller or Dispatch will be highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge of open pit mining fundamentals and autonomous mining operations.
  • Experience in supervision and management of dynamic teams

Skills & Strengths, We Value:

  • College diplomas or university degrees in a related field such as air traffic control, robotics, or autonomous systems is considered an asset.
