Job descriptionForklift Certification is required. Minimum one (1) year experience on forklifts is desirable. Nice to have front end loader experience Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable. Must have own steel-toed boots. Familiar with pulling and staging orders is desirable. Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms. Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift. Punctual and reliable for shifts. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Permanent Full-Time Unionized environment High school graduation is preferred. Background in Forestry, Wood Processing is an asset 22 / hr as per Collective Agreement Health Benefits Overtime may be available Group RRSP Option to purchase company stock at a discounted price Monday to Thursday 6 : 00 am – 4 : 30 pm

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Forklift Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto trucks / railcars, loading and unloading infeed and outfeed for production when needed.
Expected Contributions
- Loads and unloads building material supplies safely and promptly onto and from delivery trucks.
- Accurately, efficiently, and safely picks and assembles customer orders for staging.
- Set up lumber for wrapping
- Loads and unloads treating carts.
- Loads and unloads Production infeed and outfeeds when needed.
- Assists in general labour tasks as required.
- Maintains a clean and organized outside yard.
- Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
- Adheres to customer service commitments.
