Proficiently operate 10 to 40 Ton excavators of various makes and models.Assist in building and maintaining of forestry service roads by excavating, moving and loading dirt, rock and other materials.Select and fit various attachments including buckets, grapples, blades and rock breaking hammers.Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.Travel to various job sites dailyEnsure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal.Perform additional duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table :
Minimum 5 years' experience operating excavatorExperience and knowledge of building forestry roads, using a power grapple and timber handling preferredMechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenancePhysically fit and able to walk uneven ground and construction locationsValid Class 5 driver's licenceWilling to travel to different worksites dailyMotivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety recordTeam player who is willing to pitch in wherever neededJOIN THE TEAM
