OCCASIONAL TEACHER 2025 - 2026 School Year The Occasional Teacher is available to replace the permanent teacher in the classroom during a planned or unplanned absence, adhering to the day’s lesson plan and ensuring the students have a fulfilling learning experience. The Occasional Teacher position can provide flexibility in hours and provide opportunities for new teachers seeking long-term assignments or permanent teaching positions to gain valuable experience and initiate future opportunities within the School Board. Occasional Teachers must be willing to travel to schools throughout the Board and be available to accept assignments with short notice. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Education Degree Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Qualification. Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate or equivalent. Effective classroom management skills.
