Job descriptionProvide strong people development and leadership to software development teams working in an Agile environment Execute Talent Development processes and conduct program reviews to drive continuous improvement of these programs. Assess skill gaps and manage talent risks and opportunities through talent development or acquisition Perform regular 1 : 1s and provide frequent coaching and feedback to ensure teams are equipped with the right skills and tools at the right time Work with Scrum team members to manage goal setting, ongoing peer feedback, and learning and career development planning for the Development teams in Edmonton Provide thought leadership to Scrum teams, Development Management, and other stakeholders to identify gaps in development / deployment processes and design and implement solutions to these challenges. Coach Scrum teams and stakeholders to resolve impediments and ensure they have appropriate requirements, direction, and resources to deliver effectively Partner with leaders across the organization to help identify and champion solutions to leadership and organizational development issues Collaborate with the wider Development Management team in establishing annual goals, where appropriate, and driving results for their completion Partner with Human Resources and Learning & Training teams to maintain and support the Talent Development technology and other Talent infrastructure Develop reports, dashboards, and documentation based on business and management requirements Identify organizational gaps, create proposals to address found gaps, and lead implementation in alignment with the leadership team. Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent experience Demonstrated leadership skills in creating team-oriented culture Ability to think critically and constructively about complex business & technical problems, clearly communicate analysis, and present solutions to address the skills development needs of team members Proven experience being able to introduce efficiency improvements and lead initiatives in a structured manner while leveraging change management frameworks. 4+ years of leadership experience Experience in initiating and delivering organizational change Ability to develop clearly defined metrics and key agility indicators that will help you keep track of the team(s) progress Ability to plan and lead teams through training initiatives Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies Exceptional networking & relationship building skills Ability to lead efficient collaborations through effective communication and negotiation skills Proven ability to successfully navigate, collaborate and drive results in a complex environment Strong critical reasoning, data analysis, and reporting experience Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills Strong organizational and project management skills are required Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of organizational change management Professional Agile Leadership or Scrum certification Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operations
The Panther Group is seeking a Direct Hire Software Productivity Talent Development Manager with one of our partners in adtech. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position; you must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is hybrid (2-3 days a week) Pay is 140K CAD plus 10% bonus eligibility
- This position is both a technical and training hybrid need : Seeking a Software Developer who need not currently be hands-on, coupled with team skill evaluation / assessment and career / team development experience
- Will be responsible for managing 15+ / - cross-functional software developers (is a mixed-skills team)
- Will assess team and team individuals to benchmark skill and productivity levels and work with customized solutions to improve individual knowledgebase, deliveries, and productivity>
Seeking an experienced, Software Talent Development Manager with a solid technical background to join the Development Management team. This person will be responsible for managing technical teams' delivery and productivity that ensure the enhancement of an individual’s technical capabilities and innovative culture across the company.
This is high-visibility key and multi-faceted role where the Software Talent Development Manager will provide leadership within their own area of responsibility and collaborate with the other locations and departments across the company to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
The right candidate will take the lead role, collaborating with the Development Management Team, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to ensure continuous improvement of agile practices.
