What you’ll do :
Engage with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
Operate the Point-of-Sale system and processing customer transactions. Training will be provided if needed.
Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, and displaying.
Follow opening and closing procedures.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
Process returns transactions efficiently.
Maintain checkout operations by adhering to policies and procedures.
Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping in the store.
Follow safety protocols at all times.
Be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.
Role-Specific Responsibilities :
Bakery Clerk – Bake, package, price, and merchandise bakery products. Assist with decorating cakes and cupcakes. Follow all safety and food preparation procedures.
Deli Clerk – Cut, package, price, and merchandise deli products. Prepare and cook fried chicken. Follow all safety and food preparation procedures.
Meat Clerk – Provide meal solution suggestions and recommendations. Prepare and display butchered and seasoned meat. Receive, wrap, price, and merchandise meat products. Follow all safety and food preparation procedures.
Produce Clerk –Receive, stock, and face produce products. Fill displays following department standards. Assist with freight. Cut produce items for the value-added program. Follow all safety and food preparation procedures.
Customer Service Clerk –Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process transactions. Stock shelves with inventory. Process returns. Maintain checkout operations by following policies and procedures. Follow all safety procedures.
Grocery Clerk – Operate the Point-of-Sale system, assist with warehouse and dairy freight, perform popcorn station duties, and retrieve carts. Ensure products are stocked, faced, and organized. Follow all safety procedures.

Who you are :
You have Grade 10 education or equivalent retail and / or customer service experience.
You’re able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.
You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching, while staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight, and stocking shelves.
