Job descriptionRoad Maintenance : You will perform activities such as traffic control (flagging), pothole patching, and weed whacking, Labour Support : You will assist Public Works staff with culvert installations, ditch cleanout, sign repairs, guide rail repairs, brushing (chipping), shouldering, and asphalt repairs Our non-negotiables : You are a current student or will be graduating in early-2025. You have a valid, Ontario G2 (or higher) driver’s license and are comfortable operating a light-duty pick-up truck. Experience : You know your way around a job site or construction zone and understand that safety in these settings is a top priority. You have experience working with small hand tools and light-duty lawn equipment. Skills We’re Looking For : You have a knack for clear communication and are dedicated to providing top-notch service to our members of the public. You thrive both independently and as part of a team, effortlessly adapting to changing demands and priorities. What you'll do :
Working with the Operations Division of the Planning, Development and Public Works Department you will provide labour support for road maintenance activities and protect the crew and public by performing traffic control (flagging) duties.
In accordance with County Policy, a Criminal Record Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.
