Student SchedulerOur internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.
We are seeking a student to join us for a 8, 12 or 16 month co-op position starting in September 2026. This position will be based out of Mississauga, Ontario.

Schedule Development & Maintenance:
·Assist in baseline schedule development, validation, and ongoing maintenance.
·Analyze and estimate scope quantities using construction drawings and calculate scope durations using internal productivity data.
·Assist the Project Manager in updating project schedules weekly by assessing actual work completed and analyzing effort expended.
·Work with the Virtual Construction team to develop 4D schedules and tracking dashboards.
·Participate in both proposal and operation schedule developments, supporting the pursuit team and construction team when needed.
Schedule Analysis & Reporting:
·Assist in performing critical path analysis and identify key project scheduling issues.
·Provide detailed schedule variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
·Prepare and present schedule reports to the client and senior management.
Coordination & Collaboration:
·Assist in coordinating schedule inputs from all project stakeholders.
·Review and analyze subcontractor schedules and provide performance insights.
·Assist in ensuring effective use of project coding structures, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Performance Tracking & Optimization:
·Participate in the development of a productivity database for self-perform and subcontractor productivity rates.
·Track productivity and assist in performance measurement and schedule trend analysis.
·Support regional teams in setting pursuit strategies related to project schedules.
·Work with the Virtual Construction team to develop and maintain tracking dashboards and Key Performance Indicators.
Meetings & Documentation:
·Participate in project planning and scheduling review meetings.
·Ensure internal and external scheduling deadlines are met consistently.
·Read and utilize construction drawings and specifications as a basis for project scheduling.
Who We Need On Our Team
·Currently enrolled in a Post-Secondary Engineering, Architectural, or Construction Management Program.
·Will complete at least one more semester of education following the internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
·Strong ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
·Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

·Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

·Knowledge of MS Project and Primavera P6 is an asset.
·Experience or familiarity with 4D scheduling and tracking dashboards using Power BI is an asset.
·Eligibility to work in Canada, including residency or a valid work permit allowing employment with Bird Construction or its subsidiaries.
·If selected for a client-specific project, the candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug test.
