Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer/Designer with extensive experience in IBM Mainframe technologies to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, contributing to complex projects and leading junior developers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in Mainframe development
- Proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies including JCL, COBOL, SQL, DB2, and IMS
- Deep understanding of DB2 objects and processing
- Ability to independently analyze IMS Segments and create detailed designs
- Experience in leading junior developers and participating in end-to-end field mapping
- Ability to develop, unit test, and deploy code
- AI awareness with experience in GitHub Copilot and VSCode
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with CA-7
- Proficiency in JCL
- Knowledge of Kafka & RESTful APIs is a plus
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze and design IMS Segments
- Lead and mentor junior developers
- Participate in end-to-end field mapping
- Develop, unit test, and deploy code
- Collaborate with a team in a pod with no major mainframe experience
- Adapt and learn independently
