Job descriptionMinimum of a technical lead on two significant / large IT projects in a Solution Architect role. Architecture and / or hands-on experience with the following technologies : IFS Work Orders IFS MWO Mobile Application RESTFul API Integration techniques and tools BizTalk Oracle Service Bus Oracle Custom Care and Billing Architecture and / or hands-on experience with the following methodologies : Sparx Enterprise Architect Tool for Modeling and Analysis Rational Unified Process (RUP) TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Working knowledge of BABOK In ADKAR Expert level communicator with effective presentation skills. Experience working closely with business from start to finish through the solutioning process. Experience in Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government or similar work. Oil and gas industry experience or similar work. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Candidate must have experience as a Solution Architect in a technical lead role on at least two significant / large-scale IT projects. Job Location : Regina, SK
Description :
SaskEnergy is seeking a Work Management System (WMS) Solution Architect Resource with a broad-based background of technical experience and deep technical expertise in applications such as IFS Work Orders, IFS MWO Mobile Application, RESTFul API Integration techniques and tools, BizTalk, Oracle Service Bus, and Oracle Custom Care and Billing. This role is part of the Business Applications Solutions & Architecture team, providing IT solutions to business problems through systems, applications, infrastructure, or processes.
The WMS Solution Architect position requires extensive knowledge of systems, architectures, systems management, networking, and application design techniques. The ideal candidate should be able to identify, evaluate, and select the elements of the solution that best meet the business needs of the client organization. Strong personal business, industry, and project management skills are also required.
Typical activities include :
- Leading solution evaluation and assuming a technical leadership role on Business Applications projects.
- Ensuring solutions align with enterprise strategies and focus on business outcomes.
- Developing non-functional and technical specifications for solution RFP documents.
- Development of proof of concepts.
- Ensuring successful and sustainable delivery of solutions and services into operations.
- Contributing to architecture boards and improving practices.
- Overseeing the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions.
- Working with project teams to develop conceptual architecture design.
- Providing aid and mentorship as required.

CONTRACT DURATION :
The contract will commence on the award date and end on March 31, 2025 , with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year terms.
