Yoplait Liberté Canada is a proudly Canadian and Quebec-based company that brings together passionate teams around iconic brands, recognized for their expertise and the quality of products loved by Canadian families for decades.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will contribute to the development and implementation of capital projects and infrastructure at Yoplait Liberté Canada (YLCC).

You will be involved in project planning, coordination, and execution in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, in accordance with the SQCDEE model.

What We Offer

  • Exciting projects within a growing and transforming organization
  • Flexibility: a hybrid, people-centric, and supportive work environment
  • Recognition of relevant years of experience for vacation eligibility
  • A comprehensive group insurance plan, 100% employer-paid, including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • A retirement savings plan (RRSP and DPSP) with employer contributions (we invest in your retirement!)
  • Enhanced parental leave benefits
  • The opportunity to make a real impact: a highly strategic role with influence on key business decisions

What you will do on a daily basis

Project Management and Design

  • Act as the lead engineer for all capital projects, including overall project management: system conceptual design, cost estimation, equipment evaluation and selection, procurement, installation management and subcontractor coordination, commissioning, and performance monitoring.

Development, Innovation, and Collaboration

  • Ensure the sustainability of facilities through the integration of design and operational standards, leveraging best practices and technical analyses.
  • Propose innovative technical solutions to achieve business objectives, with a strong focus on health and safety, quality, performance, productivity, and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain close communication between the engineering group and various plant departments (R&D, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Finance, etc.) as well as corporate technical teams to promote best practices and support project success.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support to engineers, supervisors, technicians, and other stakeholders across multiple sites, while ensuring the maintenance and oversight of documentation related to insurance and utility requirements.

Key requirements to join our team

  • University degree in Engineering and active membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • More than seven years of professional experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment;
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in electrical and industrial control project management, including electrical distribution systems (plant power supply, distribution rooms, equipment connections, etc.), instrumentation, and automation (PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, etc.);
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory standards in the food industry (GMPs, food safety, CFIA), as well as experience with CSA standards;
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, strong adaptability, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems;
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Production, Quality, Finance, Methods, Engineering), with a solid understanding of manufacturing, engineering, quality, and R&D environments.
