Job description

Description

As of November 1, 2025, Sunoco LP has successfully completed its acquisition of Parkland Corporation. For more information, please visit www.sunocolp.com.
Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership’s fuel distribution operations, which distribute over 15 billion gallons annually to approximately 11,000 Sunoco and partner-branded retail locations, as well as independent dealers and commercial customers.
At Sunoco, we take great pride in what we do and wholeheartedly believe our employees drive success for our company and our customers. We are always looking for the best and brightest talent and are committed to making your job a challenging and rewarding experience.

Competitive Benefits. Meaningful Extras. Unmatched Value.

  • A place where you can take your career in the direction you want to grow and go

The Opportunity:

As part of a collaborative and high-performing compensation team, you will have the opportunity to contribute, influence, and leave your mark on compensation programs and processes across a fast-growing global enterprise.

Reporting to the Compensation Manager, you will support Sunoco’s compensation philosophy and strategy for more than 6,000 employees across 36 countries. We are looking for a compensation professional who is curious, adaptable, analytically strong, and energized by working in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Working closely with leaders and colleagues across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean, the successful candidate will support a broad range of compensation programs, projects, and strategic initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support compensation programs including base salary administration, incentive plans, market pricing, job evaluations, and compensation recommendations.

  • Support annual compensation cycles through analysis, reporting, troubleshooting, governance, and communications.

  • Lead and support compensation projects and transformation initiatives in partnership with HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HRIS, and business leaders.

  • Support Sunoco’s Long-Term Incentive Program (LTIP) while partnering closely with Energy Transfer and plan participants.

  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the organization’s global job architecture and leveling framework.

  • Analyze market data and compensation trends to ensure programs remain competitive and aligned with company strategy.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, governance, controls, and overall effectiveness of the compensation function.

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field (Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Commerce, etc.).
  • CCP or CPHR designations considered an asset.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of progressive compensation and total rewards experience with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel capabilities.

  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, UKG (UltiPro), or SuccessFactors.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into meaningful recommendations and business insights.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Personal Attributes:

  • You thrive in fast-paced and evolving environments where priorities can shift quickly and no two days look exactly the same.
  • You bring adaptability, curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to continuously learn and grow alongside the business.
  • You are energized by challenge and ambiguity and approach problems with accountability and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • You are naturally curious, continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes and challenge conventional thinking.
  • You possess strong business acumen and connect compensation decisions back to broader business strategy and operational realities.

Humble. Hungry. Smart. Does this sound like you?

Do others describe you as being a down-to-earth achiever? Someone who thinks outside the box and always strives to do more than what is required? Someone who sees the bigger picture? You sound brilliant to work with!

We Want You To Shine:

We are committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants. If you require accommodation due to a disability, you will have an opportunity to notify us when scheduling your interview.

Belonging Matters. Because You Do:

We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from all qualified individuals. Our ability to work as one team across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean is foundational to our success. We show up as our authentic selves each day and create space for one another’s unique contributions.

We respect the diverse cultures, traditions, and perspectives of Indigenous Peoples and seek to achieve equitable partnerships and opportunities with Indigenous communities.

The Fine Print:

Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the country in which they applied. Regrettably, we are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.

Final candidates will be required to undergo a confidential pre-employment background check, including but not limited to educational, criminal, credit, drug and alcohol, and/or fitness for duty testing.
