Job description

Territory Sales Representative Location: Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta Reports to: VP of Sales Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus structure Position Overview We are seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Representative to own and grow a defined market through direct, in-person engagement with retail partners.

This role is responsible for driving distribution, visibility, and share across convenience, gas, dispensary, and specialty retail channels.

The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing their territory as a business — balancing relationship management, execution excellence, and new business development.

This is an ideal role for a sales professional who thrives in the field, builds strong retail relationships, and consistently delivers measurable commercial results.

Regular inter-provincial travel is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities Territory Ownership & Growth – Own all accounts within the assigned territory, delivering against volume, distribution, and share targets.

Identify and secure new distribution opportunities and execute a clear territory plan aligned to company growth objectives.

In-Field Execution Excellence – Maintain consistent in-person coverage to ensure strong visibility, product placement, and in-store execution.

Secure and optimize shelf space and ensure all accounts meet standards across availability, compliance, and presentation.

Relationship Management – Build and develop relationships with store owners, managers, and staff.

Position the company’s brands as a preferred partner through strong service and execution, and deliver product education to support sell-through.

Selling & Commercial Impact – Drive sell-in and sell-through through effective promotion execution, pricing, and product knowledge.

Leverage marketing programs and local opportunities to increase brand visibility and grow SKU penetration.

Pipeline & New Business Development – Identify, target, and convert new accounts within the territory.

Build a pipeline of opportunities and support local activations, events, and sponsorship opportunities where relevant.

Planning & Self-Management – Plan and manage schedules to maximize coverage and impact.

Maintain accurate CRM tracking of account activity and manage budgets and expenses in line with company guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile 3–5+ years of experience in field sales, territory management, or B2B sales Proven ability to deliver against sales targets in a retail-driven environment Strong commercial instincts and ability to identify growth opportunities Highly self-motivated with strong time and territory management skills Strong communication and relationship-building abilities Experience in regulated or adjacent industries is an asset Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Able to lift and transport product (up to ~40 lbs) Why Join Turning Point Brands Turning Point Brands Canada is a high-growth consumer products business operating at the intersection of brand building, distribution, eCommerce, and regulated markets.

We operate with a builder mindset — low on politics, high on ownership.

People are trusted to take initiative, move quickly, and deliver results.

This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a territory, drive meaningful growth, and build something that matters within a high-performance, respectful environment.
