Are you an experienced in all things Health and Safety? Have you worked in a manufacturing evironment?
We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for our clients Edmonton Manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Health and safety Manager, this role is not just about managing tasks but driving health and safety leadership, support and recommendations to all employees, supervisors / managers and contractors withing the manufacturing department.
We are looking for strong leadership in safety excellence, resourcefulness, organizational skills with a solid understanding of Health and Safety Management principles, WCB claims management, industry best practices and provincial H&S legislation.

Responsibilities
Foster and maintain positive, professional working relationships.
5-7 years in a manufacturing health and safety environment
Ensure Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams comply with assigned COR standards and regulations, conducting annual internal COR audits.
Lead new hire orientations and provide training as required by job responsibilities or legislation.
Schedule, perform, and track safety inspections, ensuring follow-up as needed.
Monitor adherence to the All Weather at Home health and safety program by employees and contractors.
Review contractor submissions for annual pre-qualification documentation in Intelex, as evaluated by leadership.
Support supervisory teams in incident investigations, ensuring quality and timely completion of incident and injury reports.
Assist with Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) as needed.
Provide support to the Manufacturing Residential Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Assist in the annual analysis of incident and injury data for Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, preparing trending reports on leading and lagging indicators and addressing any issues.
Train and support supervisors and managers in understanding and following OH&S standards and requirements.
Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are up to date and accessible for Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
Ensure Emergency Response Plans are current, communicated, and that annual drills are conducted for assigned areas.
Lead and support monthly safety meetings.
Assist with the WCB Claims Management process.
Educate and train leadership on how to retrieve and interpret H&S performance statistics in Intelex.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety Management or an equivalent field.
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or Manufacturing Safety Officer (MSO) designation.
Standard First Aid certification.
Certified ACSA COR Auditor.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Health & Safety within a manufacturing / plant environment.
At least 3 years of related safety field experience.
Experience conducting internal and external safety audits.
Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and confidence in interacting with key stakeholders in verbal, written, and electronic formats.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Proven willingness to actively contribute to team activities, sharing experiences and ideas.
Capable of managing multiple assignments with tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
Valid Alberta driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
Ability to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
