Here’s what you’ll do :

• Manages supplier approval program (MAP) for product suppliers and ensures the database is up to date.
• Conducts risk evaluations when approving a new supplier, facility or country of origin
• Assesses supplier processing facilities for frozen produce and provides the food safety approval or rejection based on the MAP requirements, FSMA, SFCR regulations
• Investigate supplier nonconformities and follow up on the root cause associated corrective actions, verification of the completion of corrective action / preventative actions, and validation of the effectiveness of the corrective actions
• Participates in the establishment of high-level standards that suppliers must respect to ensure food safety
• Performs facility verification activities and virtual audits when required to ensure suppliers are meeting MAP requirements and GFSI certification requirements
• Follow-up with the suppliers to confirm that food safety and integrity gaps are mitigated
• Review MRL’s and spray programs to ensure compliance with destination standards
• Ensure compliance with labelling guideline destination standards
• Perform periodic monitoring of the approved product suppliers and contribute to KPIs to demonstrate the performance of the product suppliers
• Support product recalls and manage mock recalls and traceability exercise as required
• Ensure quality compliance of incoming and outgoing samples
• Ensure supplier record library is up to date as per the standard protocols
• Stays at the forefront of new technologies, developments, and scientific discoveries related to fresh and frozen businesses
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the supplier management system and support implementation of any new programs, processes, or initiatives
