Job Description and Responsibilities
The QC / Line Inspector in our manufacturing process is responsible for performing thorough visual inspections and measurements on both in-process and final products. This inspector is required to carry out documented inspections at all workstations that the product passes through, ensuring traceability, workmanship, proper process handling, and preservation techniques while maintaining complete and accurate records. After completing new hire orientation and on-the-job training, the QC / Line Inspector is expected to work within the company's safety and quality protocols. They should be able to independently transport products to their workstation, set up and maintain the appropriate measuring devices, verify product identification, and organize and manage different product grades.
- Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Work in support of the Vision, Mission, and Objectives
- Follow the pertinent quality system procedures and policies
- Ensure calibrations of gauges are up to date and current
- Know the specifications of each size of couplings
- Physically able to lift weights up to 80 lbs
- Intermittent grasping, lifting, bending and twisting
- Basic knowledge of mathematics
- Accountable to make improvements or corrections in line with the performance measures relative to the goals of the plant operations
- Coordinate and lead the operation's workforce to ensure safe work practices and product quality standards are met
- Routine and preventative maintenance on measuring equipment
- Forklift Operation
