Reporting to the Chief and Councils of the Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council (LSLIRC), the Executive Director plans, administers, and directs the implementation of programs and services to the First Nations. Operational responsibilities include the promotion of the First Nation local government with community and Council stakeholders. By working closely with the First Nations on the assessment of requirements and providing recommended programs, the Executive Director will effectively meet the needs of the First Nations.
By nurturing positive relationships with the First Nations, the Executive Director enables the development of long-range programs and provides direction to support the establishment of suitable program objectives, priorities, and administrative practices. Through effective stakeholder management, the Executive Director establishes and maintains effective consultation with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
The Executive Director is a natural leader who provides direction and development of the team and ensures public relations, integrity, and the reputation of LSLIRC is managed effectively. By monitoring sensitive issues, the Executive Director works closely with the Board of Chiefs to effectively deal with issues and mitigate risks impacting LSLIRC.
