Job title : QA API TestingJob Location : Vancouver BA (HYBRID)Job type : COntract Key Responsibilities : Test Planning and Strategy : Develop detailed test plans and strategies based on product requirements. Prioritize test scenarios to cover functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.Test Case Design and Execution : Create and execute detailed test cases for both manual and automated testing. Conduct various types of testing to validate software functionality and performance. Write SQL queries to retrieve and validate data.Defect Management : Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools. Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues promptly.Automation Testing : Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipeline for continuous testing and rapid feedback.Performance Testing : Conduct performance and load testing to ensure software scalability and stability. Analyze results and recommend improvements.Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Communicate testing status, progress, and results effectively.Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and What You’ll Need to Succeed : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.6-7 years of experience in software quality assurance in complex, integrated technology environments, preferably in the financial industry.Experience in software quality assurance for web, mobile, and back-end applications.Experience in test automation, with hands-on experience in automation tools and frameworks (experience with TOSCA is a plus).Proven analytical skills to analyze requirements, create test cases, and evaluate results.Proficient in SQL and data analytics.Experience in leading testing efforts and reporting progress to stakeholders.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience with system and software integration with multiple vendors.Passion for testing and quality assurance.
