We are looking for an Account Manager located in Bonnyville, AB, area working a regular 5 day – 40 hour work week. The Account Manager will be primarily responsible for servicing existing programs as well as developing and applying chemical solutions for remediation of customer challenges within targeted accounts in the sales area.

You will be a self starter that has excellent time management skills and a desire to meet customer demands. Strong communication skills are a requirement for this role. In addition, you will be responsible for building long-term relationships throughout your customer base by understanding their key business drivers, executing system assurance programs, and deploying new technologies.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with current and new customers within an assigned territory/customer base. Understand customer business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will drive customer loyalty.

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customer organizations, including plant or facility executives.

  • Generate and execute sales plans in assigned customer base and new customer accounts to meet defined territory profit increase goals.

  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer issues, escalating as required.

  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.

  • Possible travel within assigned sales territory

Position Details:

  • Candidate must reside within the Lakeland/Bonnyville region.

  • No immigration sponsorship offered.

  • This is a safety sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 -5 years of technical sales, operating/engineering experience is preferred but not required.

  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)

  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask

Physical Demands:

  • Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred

  • Previous Petrochemical experience

  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience

  • Working knowledge of water treatment systems

  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation

  • Prior experience that required excellent communication skills

  • Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills

  • Account leadership experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goals
