Job descriptionStrong foundation in quality assurance methodologies, procedures and testing best practices 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role with at least 2 years working with automation Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium / TestNG Experience in programming using C# or Java Degree in computer science or equivalent discipline Experience in testing mobile web applications Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with wide range of audiences across the organization, including management API testing experience with Postman or other tools Familiar with cloud-based testing tools like BrowserStack / Firebase Understanding of web development languages like HTML, CSS, and javascript Knowledge of SQL query language Knowledge of SDLC, Agile and Scrum methodology
The British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to help enhance the quality of our products and services we build. The position will be responsible for both automation and manual testing.
This is a one-year contract, concluding at the end of December 2025.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage and execute test cases to ensure business requirements are met and product is free from defects using various testing techniques such as exploratory, ad-hoc, acceptance, integration and regression.
- Identify, document, report and track defects found during testing.
- Develop and execute test scripts and maintain test automation framework
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analyst and peers to deliver high quality software in an Agile environment in a timely manner.
- Communicate and provide status reports on test progress, test results, risks and other relevant information to the test lead and management.
