Job description
A prominent Canadian leader in the financial services and insurance sector is seeking a Senior QA Lead to oversee end-to-end quality assurance initiatives across complex enterprise systems. In this high-impact position, you will act as the operational backbone for software quality, taking complete ownership of test strategy design, cross-functional test execution, and release readiness. You will bridge the gap between product management, solution architects, development squads, and business units to ensure every release fulfills strict quality benchmarks.

Advantages
Join a top-tier financial institution committed to modernizing its digital ecosystem.

Highly collaborative, supportive, and flexible work culture emphasizing autonomy and technical leadership.

Competitive compensation structure alongside clear avenues for professional advancement.

High-visibility role driving quality across large-scale multi-application enterprise systems.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Formulate holistic testing frameworks, establish project scope, map technical dependencies, evaluate risks, and define rigid entry/exit criteria for release streams.

Test Orchestration: Lead the design, review, and hands-on execution of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing cycles.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with application teams, delivery leads, and third-party vendors to resolve operational bottlenecks and synchronize upstream/downstream dependencies.

Defect Management & UAT: Facilitate structured defect triage, guide business owners through UAT preparation, and validate post-deployment releases in production.

Governance & Reporting: Maintain transparent quality metrics, escalate blockers proactively, and provide senior stakeholders with actionable insights on release readiness.

Qualifications
7+ years of dedicated software quality assurance experience, with demonstrated hands-on leadership in a QA Lead role.

Proven background in designing project-level test strategies and translating complex business requirements into structured test plans.

Practical expertise orchestrating multi-system testing across Agile/Scrum and iterative delivery frameworks.

Advanced capabilities in functional, integration, and end-to-end execution, defect lifecycle management, and UAT support.

Superior communication skills, with a track record of effectively bridging technical teams and business stakeholders.

Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.

Summary
Position: Senior QA Lead

Location: Greater Montreal Area, QC (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Permanent / Contract

Industry: Financial Services & Insurance
