Location : Various locations across British Columbia
The Advocacy and Policy Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing advocacy strategies to influence public policy and advance the organization’s mission. This role involves working with government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote positive change.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies and campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze public policy issues and trends.
- Build relationships with government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders.
- Draft policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials.
- Represent the organization at meetings, hearings, and public events.
- Coordinate grassroots advocacy efforts and mobilize supporters.
- Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on advocacy issues.
