JomboneDuncan, British ColumbiaThe Role : As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in the Mental Health Unit, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals facing mental health challenges. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, guide nursing staff, and manage resources effectively to support patient recovery and maintain smooth unit operations.
Responsibilities :
Conduct patient assessments and monitor health status, including vital signs and adherence to treatment plans.
Administer medications and manage treatment regimens as part of individualized care plans.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
Advocate for patient rights, addressing ethical concerns and supporting patient dignity and safety.
Document care accurately and thoroughly in patient medical records.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Active RN or Registered Psychiatric Nurse license in your province.
Minimum of 2 years of mental health nursing experience.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
Experience in a fast-paced environment, with skills to prioritize effectively.
