Job description
Job Description:
  • Proactive & reactive security patrols
  • Majority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrols
  • Response to incidents
  • Lock & Secure washrooms
  • Ensure no unauthorized individuals are on site after 22:00
  • Liaise with Paladin & the Marina Coordinator to ensure ongoing safety concerns/issues are resolved
  • Assist boaters as necessary
  • By-law parking enforcement
  • Report writing and note taking
  • Daily shift reports
  • Investigate routine incidents
  • Additional Duties as Assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Security License for Ontario
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Must have G or G2 level driver's license (or equivalent)
  • Must have your own dedicated vehicle that is reliable and in good repair
  • Able to stand for up to 8-12 hours per shift
  • Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
  • English communication (oral and written) required
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
Valid Ontario Security License
