We are dedicated to supporting you throughout your job search and at every step of your careerYour RoleI am currently recruiting for a Night Shift Production Supervisor for a manufacturing leader located in Pincourt. This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week).Key Responsibilities : - Act as a role model and enforce health and safety protocols rigorously throughout your team and the production facility.- Raise daily awareness among your team about the safe use of equipment, proper use of PPE, and risk management in all tasks.- Plan shift operations to maximize equipment utilization, minimize material waste, and meet delivery timelines.- Communicate shift objectives, performance standards, and operational updates clearly to your team.- Supervise and engage your team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals efficiently.- Conduct regular floor walks to monitor production, ensure product quality meets specifications, and prevent defects from reaching clients.- Analyze daily production results and discrepancies with your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.- Enforce compliance with operational processes and systems, such as SOPs, 6S, SMED, and performance management tools.- Guide your team in effective and rapid problem-solving, involving other stakeholders when needed.- Collaborate with the maintenance department to optimize machine downtime for repairs and preventive maintenance.- Support skill development within your team, ensuring members are equipped to perform their tasks effectively.- Provide constructive feedback regularly to encourage accountability and support skills growth.- Implement disciplinary measures as necessary, in line with company policies and collective agreements.- Continuously update your skills related to personnel management, processes, and department technologies.- Deliver training on operational procedures when required.- Conduct ongoing performance evaluations for team members, contributing to overall performance management.Qualifications and Skills- College diploma (DEC) or equivalent; a technical background related to the field is an asset.5-7 years of supervisory experience in a production environment, ideally related to extrusion, lamination, printing, or packaging.- Other combinations of experience and process knowledge in these areas will be considered.- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, or other shifts as required.- Strong understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement (Kaizen, SMED, 6S, ISO).- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).- Fluency in French (spoken and written); bilingualism in English is an asset.- Experience with mechanical troubleshooting is a plus.Soft Skills- Strong planning and organizational skills to meet objectives efficiently.- Results-driven with a focus on action and operational follow-through.- Ability to delegate tasks effectively.-Analytical problem-solving with timely decision-making.- Clear, respectful, and courageous communication and feedback.- Proven ability to motivate and influence team members to achieve performance goals.- Team-oriented with strong adaptability to change.- Customer service-oriented approach for internal and external stakeholders.Benefits- Base salary from 70k$ up to 90k$ (based on experience and qualifications).- Full benefits package, including group insurance.- Opportunities to work in a dynamic and innovative production environment.Are you ready to lead a dedicated team in a challenging yet rewarding night shift position?
