SISMFG is a leading heavy industrial steel fabrication and manufacturing company serving customers across North America. We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager to lead our operations and support the next phase of growth for our organization.
Position Summary
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of our manufacturing operations. This individual will oversee production, safety, quality, customer relationships, workforce development, and strategic planning while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead all manufacturing and fabrication operations.
- Manage production schedules, staffing, equipment, and facility resources.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Develop and mentor supervisors, foremen, and management staff.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor and improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Review and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial performance targets.
- Identify opportunities for growth, process improvements, and operational excellence.
- Support business development initiatives and customer retention.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in steel fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or industrial construction.
- Minimum 5 years of senior leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, and industrial manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Proven experience managing large teams and multiple departments.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, quality control, and safety management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with structural steel, rail, mining, heavy industrial, or manufacturing operations is considered a strong asset.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
