To learn more please visit our website at www.directplus.ca PURPOSE : We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Product Marketing Coordinator to assist with product development tasks, label / packaging design and print. This individual will interface with multiple teams including Sales, Product Development, Regulatory and Operations. Reporting to the Product Marketing Specialist, the individual will work collaboratively with our Marketing Team to delivery results for Direct Plus Food Group portfolio of brands.The ideal candidate is collaborative, communicative, and passionate about food and marketing. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to impactful product marketing efforts.JOB DESCRIPTION : Assist with Packaging Design : Support in the development and review of packaging designs and updates to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with brand guidelines. Ensure project timelines are met and secure final approvals.Assist with product data management : Assist in product specification management, ensuring accurate data are provided to GS1 and product samples are sent in for imaging.Prepare and Manage Samples : Prepare product samples for evaluations while gathering and tracking feedback. Ensure timely communication of insights and recommendations to relevant teams to support product development and optimization efforts.Assist with project management : Support projects by providing status updates, taking minutes, preparing meeting agendas and tracking costs.Consumer inquiries : Serve as the liaison between the cross-functional teams on product inquiries.Assist with New Product Request Forms : Support the completion of New Product Request forms, ensuring all necessary product details, specifications, briefings and updates are accurately captured and aligned with project objectives.Stay up to date on product innovation and industry trends.Special duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS : Post-secondary education preferred, ideally in marketing, food science or equivalent experience.Energetic self-starter with outstanding time management, organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Experience in graphic design, print production and consumer packaged goods.2+ years in product marketing, CPG preferred.Ability to interpret and manage product specifications, including ingredients and packaging.Well-versed in MS Office and various Adobe products.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Performs well in a fast-paced environment and high-pressure situations.Able to operate and access a motor vehicle.Ability to travel.Overtime as required.If you’re hungry for a new challenge and ready to make your mark in this fast-growing, fast-paced industry, we’d love to hear from you!
