Experience in drafting and managing detailed technical documentation, including workflows, lab procedures, and work instructions Familiarity with lab operations, technical workflows Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective coordination across teams and stakeholders Strong problem-solving ability and attention to details. Experience in clean room work environment Experience in micro-electronics / SMT process Experience managing projects with tight timelines.
Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Photonic Components Assembly Processes group, the successful candidate will be working with the process engineers to help them improve documentation and communication efficiency with our manufacturing partner. This role will aim to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Roles, Responsibilities and contribution
- Draft detailed technical documentation to coordinate work with internal lab and partners, ensuring accuracy and clarity in instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers to review and refine documentation for seamless execution of tasks.
- Analyze traffic generated by engineers' requests to optimize workflows and operations.
- Monitor lab activities and provide support to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within lab operations and technical documentation workflows.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Develop, improve and optimize current communication processes. May involve automation.
- Assist the Program / Project Manager to keep the component & material inventory, inspection, purchasing and expedition flow seamless.

The salary range is $66, 800 - $106, 800
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
