YOUR NEW CHALLENGE

We are looking for a purchasing pro with a passion for sports to join our purchasing team. You will collaborate with the sales team on a regular basis, to ensure that the quantity and selection of products purchased are in line with market needs, and that our inventories are well controlled. Your analytical and Excel skills will be your best allies to succeed in this role. Thanks to your expertise, you will also have the chance to suggest improvements, tools and best practices to optimize our growing purchasing department.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Compare the demand plan with sales objectives from the sales team and investigate variances.
  • Review and modify forecasts.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts and purchasing recommendations at SKU level on a weekly basis supported by charts and data.
  • Run purchasing model and define demand based on historical trends.
  • Determine purchase quantities based on orders, purchases, budget, and sales analysis.
  • Determine purchasing ratios by category.
  • Review analysis of product offering and price list.
  • Define costing based on product and landed costs.
  • In collaboration with the Product Specialist, determine product pricing and benchmark analysis.
  • Enter POs for a portfolio of brands and update ETAs.
  • Manage the maintenance, creation, and routing of purchase orders.
  • Maintain MOQ, lead time and order windows for each supplier.
  • Communicate with the supplier for purchasing and shipments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with sales team to ensure inventory and turnover targets are met.
  • Collaborate with the import team on the shipment of products.
  • Follow up on deliveries.
  • Identify the ASN number.
  • Oversee warranty credits and receiving discrepancies.
  • Other related tasks

    • QUALITIES OF OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of the sports and / or apparel industry (an asset)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work in multi-project mode, good time and priority management skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and BI (an asset)
  • Bilingual FR / EN (an asset)
