A leading quantum technology think tank is a not-for-profit applied research institution focused on cutting-edge research and development of quantum technologies. This think tank is tackling the ambitious goal of accelerating quantum technologies from proof-of-concept to real-world applicable commercialized solutions. We are searching for applied physicists to fill a total of four postdoctoral fellow positions.
They are interested in hiring candidates who want to work on a scientific team and have a passion for application-driven R&D. The successful applicant will work under a project lead with other staff scientists and engineers. A desire to successfully work in a close team environment is required. They value inquisitiveness and creative problem-solving above all.
The successful applicants will tackle a variety of challenging projects. Preferred skills of interest should contribute to one or more of the following roles :
- MEMS fabrication : wafer bonding, vapor cell fabrication, and surface science. Experience in wafer-scale fabrication is a plus.
- Photonic integrated circuits : micro- and nano-fabrication, optical spectroscopy, frequency metrology, precision measurements.
- High resolution spectroscopy : laser science, quantum optics, and precision measurement.
Candidates with multi-disciplinary skill sets across multiple roles will be favorably considered.
Applicants should provide a full CV (including publications) and a cover letter explaining their interest in the position, as well as arrange to have three recommendation letters sent. The application documents should be submitted in PDF format to the provided contact. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is closed.
